From the Gazette & Herald, first published Wednesday 6th Aug 2003.
The sweet intermission that perfumes the flower,
The decades that season the pine,
The march of progression that drifts unrestrained -
With the ebb and the flow of the brine.
The misty horizons of promise and hope,
The phases that heal and renew,
The milestones encountered that help to restore,
And the ages that tame and subdue.
The sands that keep shifting, the waves of unrest -
And the process that mellows the wine,
Soothes cuts and bruises and mends broken hearts -
Through the divine balms and liniments called time.
